Double Apple Flashback
It sure had been a while since I worked on an Apple PowerMac G4. Tonight, I did so on two at once. The blue one is from April 1999, is a G4 450 Mhz and was bought the same month my 1st son was born. The grey one is, I think, from 2001, is a G4 887 Mhz and was once a web server running Yellow Dog Linux. Both are fully functional and my mom is still using the newer one.

New Tattoo Pict
This was my early birthday present to myself. It is a simplified version of the Aztec calendar (Sun Stone) and Ollin Tonatiuh.I’ve always loved tattoos, so as to not overdo it, I’ve set myself a limit of one every five years. Since my time was up and I’ve long been fascinated with ancient Central and South American cultures, I found only fitting to get this one in context, to conclude a month in Mexico.
It’s now about 3 weeks old and has healed nicely.

Unexpected Blossom
We brought two hibiscus in at the end of the summer, to see if they’d survive the winter indoors. One of them died immediately. The other has now decided to do quite the opposite and blossom. In our kitchen. In January. In Montreal. Sweet! -

The empty Trois Rivières, Cuvée du Moulin is probably from 5 to 8 years old, found while cleaning up my home office closet. The J. Bally, Habitation Lajus on the right is still going and is from late 2009.Having lived in Martinique from 13 to 17 years old, bottles of the island’s sweetest nectars still always find their way to me, somehow. And they’re always greatly appreciated. 🙂
