Awesome Concert Posters and Flyers Reference Site
Just discovered GigPosters.com and I’m having a blast browsing through the listings for all my favorite bands/singers/musicians, finding gems such as the 1992 Beastie Boys flyer embedded above.
GigPosters.com showcases gig posters, handbills and flyers from around the world. Great for artists, musicians, bands, designers, venues and music collectors.

DJ Nike – Dubstep/Grime (practice set) November ‘2010.
DJ Nike, aka Aeqon and Jocelyn Bisson, is a long time friend of mine (we even used to be roommates back in the days) who’s coming back to his mixing roots after a decade off.
Enjoy! I did. 🙂

M for Montreal, Alternative Music Festival
For the past decade, Montreal has become the foundation of an alternative music movement catching the attention and respect of critics all over the world. Patrick Watson, Duchess Says, Martha Wainwright, Champion, Malajube, Cœur de Pirate, Pierre Lapointe and Beast, to name a few, have all benefited from the spotlight that this largest French speaking city in North America has quickly acquired. This impressive roster of artists, serves as the perfect example of veterans who all came together over the last five years at a small but internationally respected music industry event: M for Montreal.
Will take place from November 17th to 20th, 2010.

Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation

Massive Attack on stage at the Bell Centre, October 18th 2010. I went to see Massive Attack and Thievery Corporation tonight with Xopher at the Bell Centre. An awesome show by any measure. Both ensembles played a full 1.5 hour gig, TC had 13 members rotating and MA about 9. Only downer was that we were sitting instead of standing on the floor. Bought the tickets too late for that (oh well).
Finishing the evening at la Banquise (where else?) with Eva, who was shooting the event, and Xopher was just the cherry on top.
Next up on the live Trip-Hop front: Bonobo on November 6th and Tricky on December 11th.
